Michael Lavelle Wines is a Black-owned luxury private wine label launched in June 2020 founded by Howard University alum Aaron "Michael" Coad and Terrence "Lavelle" Low along with their partners, Sommelier Devin Kennedy and Brandon Crump. Started via their passionate curiosity about wine and its rich history and recognized a glaring void in fresh, culturally relevant wine craftsmanship offered and marketed towards millennials and minority audiences.
Intentionally partnering only with small batch wineries to ensure the preservation of the integrity of the wine, Michael Lavelle’s first release, its Iris Rosé, is a delicious melody of cabernet and pinot grigio grapes grown in coastal California. Utilizing their experienced palates and ambition to create wines of freshness and balance, we're excited to see what's next for these industry disruptors.
