This is a wonderfully complex, balanced, and structured Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Hailing from the superb 2013 vintage, this wine has the chops to lay down in the cellar for 7+ years, but is drinking quite well now with a 2+ hour decant. This wine is dominated by deep dark fruit, mocha, and spice so don't look for jamminess here. A traditional, more French-style blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot. 93 Points from Wine Enthusiast.
A Napa Valley mainstay, Monticello Vineyards is proud to be family owned and operated. The winery is now managed by its second generation of Corleys, sons Kevin, Chris, and Stephen. Their overriding philosophy is that great wines are made in the vineyards.
