In keeping with previous vintages, this 100% estate grown Jefferson Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon is another superb representation of classic Napa Cabernet. Indeed, its dark fruit flavors, healthy oak influence, velvety tannins, and round mouthfeel all personify what you might expect in such a wine. The result is a ripe vibrant wine that is quite approachable now, but also worthy of 10+ years of aging.
A Napa Valley mainstay, Monticello Vineyards is proud to be family owned and operated. The winery is now managed by its second generation of Corleys, sons Kevin, Chris, and Stephen. Their overriding philosophy is that great wines are made in the vineyards. While much of Napa Valley has gone the way of luxury brands promoting some sort of lifestyle over the substance of their wines, Monticello remains steadfast in the exact opposite mindset.
