The Radio-Coteau 2019 Wingtine Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is a blend of Radio-Coteau's estate vineyard plantings and its next-door neighbor, the esteemed Heintz Ranch. Finely tuned, chiseled, and having an absolutely endless finish, this is a serious Chardonnay for serious wine enthusiasts and collectors. It's showing beautiful with tons of tension in its youth but we'd love to see what happens with a few years of age. 95pts Vinous.
From the get go, Eric Sussman wasted no time directing his focus towards exceptional vineyards in Anderson Valley and the true Sonoma Coast. While he was very much out in front of California's New Wave of wine, where producers focused on more Old World approaches in the vineyard and winery, the wines themselves remain as fresh and forward thinking today as they ever were. These wines are perennially allocated to the country's best restaurants and most discerning wine collectors, yet are built stylistically in a way that anyone and everyone can appreciate their beauty.
