This Barbera, sourced from three different vineyards in the Shenandoah Valley AVA, is medium to full bodied with luxurious fruit flavors. The smooth and velvety mouthfeel and hints of earth and spice make this a wonderfully balanced and drinkable - almost sensual - wine.
Scott Harvey is one of Amador County's pioneers and has been producing incredibly drinkable expressions of Barbera, Syrah, and Zinfandel under his label Scott Harvey Wines. Before that, he was a partner, winemaker, and president of Napa's Folie A Deux winery where he created the Menage a Trois line of wines. Scott splits his time between his home and vineyard in Napa Valley and Amador County where he works with some of the oldest growers. These are wines that go perfectly with a variety of foods - specifically grilled meats.
