Winestyr Review

When I tasted this with Matt Ahern of the winery, he mentioned not only that this bottling is like their version of a Burgundian premier cru, but that he believed that showcases a classic Scribe profile as well as any wine they've made. It is intensely fresh and vibrant with a long, sustained finish. A benchmark for the region. The wine spends 6 months in 10% new oak, 5% concrete egg, and the rest in neutral barrel.

The Winery

Scribe Winery

Founded in 2007, brothers Andrew and Adam Mariani took a vision of sharing terroir-driven, varietally expressive, and supremely delicious wines and turned it into a reality. Their organically farmed estate sits at the foot of Arrowhead Mountain facing southwest, though they continue to seek out dynamic vineyards in Carneros to craft their transparent wines.
