This is a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley's famed Oakville AVA. Combining power and sophistication in a elegant package is not an easy feat to pull off in a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but this wine is successful in that endeavor. Intense notes of cassis, blackberry, tobacco, and a bit of bramble meld with perfectly integrated French oak to provide layers of depth. This is a beautiful wine that is drinking well now, but will continue to develop in the cellar for 8+ years. Aged in 75% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 700 cases produced. 91pts from Robert Parker, 90pts from Wine Enthusiast.
