Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage 2012
Region California - Napa
Accolades 92 points Wine Spectator
Jancis Robinson called 2012, "the best vintage for decades" thanks to an ideal growing season and perfect conditions for Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a short vintage, quantity wise, but Stewart was gracious enough to share a small allocation of the wine with us and by extension, you. This wine is just entering its prime drinking window and should be decanted before serving or aged for another 8-10 years easily. 92pts Wine Spectator.
Stewart Cellars is the collaborative project of founder Michael Stewart, his son James Stewart, daughter Caroline Stewart Guthrie, and son-in-law Blair Guthrie. Together, the family oversees all aspects of the winery’s operations: James, an artist who left behind a burgeoning career in television and music for hands-on work in sales, marketing and distribution; Caroline, who leads the day to day operations along with each wine’s development; and Blair, the winemaker who works closely alongside acclaimed consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs to capture the signature terroir of Stewart’s premier vineyards and vineyard sources.
