Winestyr Review

Stringer sourced this lively Grenache from the June Mountain vineyard, high atop the Fountaingrove District AVA. The site is rugged and windy, forcing the vineyard to thrive with extremely low yields and concentrated, complex grapes come harvest time. There's no new oak here, so it's definitely a more wild and almost untamed Grenache, which should excite those who love wines coming from southern France. It's juicy, forward, and ready to drink in its youth.

Stringer Cellars

As land prices in Napa Valley continue to rise and the prices for grapes follow suit, there has never been a more difficult time to offer honest, compelling wines at accessible price points from California's cradle of winemaking. Casey Stringer is out to change that. Stringer Cellars is a true family operation, with Casey's brothers assisting in sales and his wife, Brooke, running things behind at the tasting room bar.

Really interesting and unique flavor, slightly mineraly/natural-wine tasting
