Winestyr Review

The quality of wines from Wonderland Project just keeps getting higher as this new vintage of White Queen is sourced entirely from organically farmed vineyards and is bottled without the addition of sulfur. Aged entirely in stainless steel, the wine is racy and bright, laced with a sense of minerals and refreshing acidity.

What We Love

  • Organic vineyards
  • Sulfur-free winemaking

This new vintage of White Queen Chardonnay is the most ambitious yet

Experience

Former-Sommelier Matt Ahern is making affordable, approachable wines under his Wonderland Project label.

Winery

The Wonderland Project was founded by former-Sommelier Matt Ahern after spending years selling wine to elite restaurants. Through his experience, he became aware of a common missing component on wine lists: a high quality wine made from high quality fruit, with enough refinement for the most discerning palette at an accessible cost. When he couldn't find the wine described, he decided to make it himself.

Where are the ratings?

Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself. Need some specific recommendations? Chat us in the lower right box or send our lead curator an email at bob@winestyr.com.
