The 2014 Foundation from Vineyard 36 is 100% Cabernet from their micro sites in St. Helena and Coombsville. Aged 24 months in French oak (30% new), this is the prototypical Napa Cab, but given the small level of production and expert craftsmanship, probably more complex and sophisticated than many wine-drinkers might be used to. The result is a supremely well balanced presentation of an all-American classic wine.
A project spearheaded by wine industry veteran Jason Earnest, and professional hockey players Cam Ward and Tim Gleason, Vineyard 36 produces stunning Cabernet Sauvignon based wines made with fruit sourced from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards. The wines are powerful, complex, elegant, and balanced. We're very excited to introduce you to their wines.
