In 2017, Keith Emerson put Syrah in the forefront and tuned down the Zinfandel to about one-quarter of the final blend. The result is a wine built for BBQ with its layers of smoke, black fruits, and chewy tannins. This is a wine ready to pop and enjoy right away.

Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself. I'm a fan of bold California wines and this wine is bold. Attempting the "Bordeaux" style, you'll get some of that leather and tobacco; but don't worry, the juicy and flavorful Cali style is definitely hear. Let it open up for 35min, then drink it all!
This was a great wine. Thought it was delicious. Love the name and image on the bottle.
