What domestic sparkling wines so often fail to match in the best of Champagne is a depth of complexity, power, and seamless elegance. Adelsheim though, accomplished all of that with this Blanc de Blancs from 100% Chardonnay. The wine can stand toe-to-toe with plenty of revered Champagne producers and offers a window into what might be the New World's most promising region for the category.
Adelsheim (pronounced Addels-Heim) was founded in 1971 by David and Ginny Adelsheim with one pursuit: to create world-class wines in the undiscovered wine region that would later become Chehalem Mountains AVA, a venerable subregion of Oregon's famous Willamette Valley. One of the original, most influential, and most important producers of the region, Adelsheim has a long track record of producing some of the finest Burgundian-style Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays produced domestically. We're very proud to add some of their most exclusive wines to our portfolio.
