The LIVE-certified Calkins Lane estate vineyard, which is the property surrounding the winery itself, enjoyed an extended hang thanks to a cool September and developed fine tannins, ripe red fruits, and layered spices on the palate. This is a lip smacking Pinot Noir right now that should drink exceptionally well into the 7-10 year age range.
Adelsheim (pronounced Addels-Heim) was founded in 1971 by David and Ginny Adelsheim with one pursuit: to create world-class wines in the undiscovered wine region that would later become Chehalem Mountains AVA, a venerable subregion of Oregon's famous Willamette Valley. One of the original, most influential, and most important producers of the region, Adelsheim has a long track record of producing some of the finest Burgundian-style Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays produced domestically. We're very proud to add some of their most exclusive wines to our portfolio.
