As far as debut Pinot Noir wines go here at Winestyr, it's safe to say that this is one of the best so far. Sourced from the excellent Green Valley sub-appellation of Russian River, this Pinot has a ripe bouquet of fruits that support the wine's creamy texture. It's easy to see how much Brook Bannister has invested in his Pinot Noir program and let us just say, it's working.
The Bannister's have been making hand crafted, small lot wines in Sonoma County since 1989 with a particular focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel. Growing up, Brook was involved in harvest and critical points in the process when he wasn’t busy in school. Today it is Brook Bannister pushing the estate forward with continued investment in Sonoma's best sites and wines that communicate a clear place of origin.
