Coming from the Saini Vineyard on the eastern bench of Dry Creek Valley, the Bannister block is known as "Gene's Pump" and has especially low yields. The wine itself has slightly more restrained alcohol than wines made from neighboring vineyards and holds true with a balanced, mouth watering finish of rhubarb and blackberry compote.
The Bannister's have been making hand crafted, small lot wines in Sonoma County since 1989 with a particular focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel. Growing up, Brook was involved in harvest and critical points in the process when he wasn’t busy in school. Today it is Brook Bannister pushing the estate forward with continued investment in Sonoma's best sites and wines that communicate a clear place of origin.
