This is an immensely enjoyable Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc that's ripe, crisp, and packed with tropical fruit flavors. Pineapple, grapefruit, and a hint of lemongrass dominate the palate for this pure and unadulterated wine. Sometimes a wine is supposed to be hedonistic and more about pleasure than complexity, which is why we love this so much. Pair with lighter fare or enjoy without food.
With the 2005 purchase of their first estate vineyard, Coquerel Family Wine Estates began producing exceptional Napa Valley red and white wines under the guiding hand of winemaker Christine Barbe, who earned her Ph.D in 1996 from the Bordeaux Institute of Enology. The winery is located just beyond the town of Calistoga at the north end of the Napa Valley and the heart and soul of Coquerel Wines is their estate “Walnut Wash” vineyard, a gorgeous, oak-studded property that sits in the afternoon shadows of the Mayacamas Mountains. Pure, crisp whites and powerful, yet sophisticated, reds have become their hallmark; a true melding of Napa Valley intensity and French elegance.
