This is a delectable Chardonnay from Oregon's Willamette Valley AVA. Pure, balanced, and complex, this wine drinks a lot more like a white Burgundy than its domestic brethren from California. Nervy acidity, but with a round and satisfying mouthfeel, this is a wonderful food wine. Pair with anything from green apple wedges and baked Brie to poached salmon or even fresh shellfish. 100% Chardonnay. 175 cases produced.
An artisanal winery based in Portland, Oregon striving to make delicious, interesting, and balanced wines with minimal manipulation. Division is passionate about supporting sustainably farmed, terroir expressive vineyards that celebrate their favorite varietals.
Division Winemaking Company is a Portland, Oregon based winery founded in 2010 by Kate Norris and Thomas Monroe. Inspired by the wineries of Loire, Beaujolais, Burgundy, and the Northern Rhone where they first learned winemaking and viticulture, the urban winery creates Oregon and Washington wines including Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay, Rosé, Chenin, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cot, Syrah, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc. Determined to make approachable and balanced wines though minimal manipulation, the winemakers have a passion to work with well farmed, terroir-expressive vineyards, many of which are organic and/or Biodynamic, celebrating the varietals the winemakers loves to drink. Division Winemaking Company represents a new generation of winemakers that are looking beyond the status quo to create unique styles of wine, with a purpose, a story, and without barriers.More from this winery
Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself.
