In 2014, Sashi Moorman and Raj Parr made a decision that would change the future of Evening Land Vineyards: instead of blending the estate's best barrels into a top cuvée, a.k.a La Source, they decided that the vineyard blocks from the very top of Seven Springs were worthy of their own bottling. This 2015, a library release from a beautiful vintage, is ready to drink right now or hold in the cellar for another five years. 94 points Wine Spectator
Sashi and Raj, by ushering in Seven Springs Vineyard’s fourth decade, remain at the forefront of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production in the New World. Everything for them has always started in the vineyard and when they had the chance to become stewards of this historic site, they couldn’t help but jump at the opportunity. The estate is as critically acclaimed as their California projects (Piedrasassi, Sandhi, and Domaine de la Cote) but with a soul all to its own, owed to the unique geology and natural splendor of the Willamette Valley.
