Another interesting wine from Frisby - not a fruit bomb like many California Cabernets (especially from southern California), this wine is well-balanced and a bit restrained. Not too high in alcohol, either, meaning this is a good wine to buy a couple bottles to go through in a dinner without getting too loopy!
After an epic wine tasting trip to Santa Ynez Valley, the owners of Frisby Cellars decided to stop talking about making craft wine and to pursue their dream. The journey began, starting with countless hours of research, wine production courses, self study books, and meetings with professionals in the industry. In 2008, Frisby Cellars was formed with an office in Orange County and its wine production facility in Paso Robles. Since its inception, Frisby Cellars' mission has been to produce limited editions of premium hand crafted wines at an affordable price - they have done just that.More from this winery
Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself.
