750 ML / 14.2% ABV
This is a singular wine made with fruit from an extreme coastal vineyard at the very north end of the Sonoma Coast AVA (and farmed by Ulises Valdez). High toned fruit notes of cherry and strawberry, good structure, and great complexity make this wine a real stunner. With just enough earth, spice, and complexity, you'll be sure to pour more than one glass. Aged for 11 months in 13% new French oak. 187 cases produced.
Gros Ventre winemaker, Chris Pittenger, has the kind of pedigree that should attract any kind of wine enthusiast to try, and ultimately fall in love with, his wines. Heading the winemaking at classic projects like Skinner Vineyards and Limerick Lane helped establish Chris in his place as a bit of a “whisperer” to grapes like Zinfandel and vineyards near Skinner’s outpost in the Sierra Foothills. Of course, he’s also shown a tremendous touch with Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the most celebrated sites in Sonoma and Anderson Valley.
