Winestyr Review

Light and crisp with notes of balanced acidity and citrus notes of lime and lemon zest, this is a wonderfully refreshing white from California's El Dorado AVA. Vermentino is traditionally an Italian varietal known especially for producing some of the dry, white table wines you'd enjoy al fresco on a sunny afternoon in Sardinia. This wine has many of the same hallmarks of those wines and would pair perfectly with a sunny afternoon, but you can also try it with lighter fare or even something with some fat, like white, wood-fired pizza. 97% Vermentino, 3% Picpoul Blanc. 130 cases produced.

Gros Ventre Cellars

Gros Ventre winemaker, Chris Pittenger, has the kind of pedigree that should attract any kind of wine enthusiast to try, and ultimately fall in love with, his wines. Heading the winemaking at classic projects like Skinner Vineyards and Limerick Lane helped establish Chris in his place as a bit of a “whisperer” to grapes like Zinfandel and vineyards near Skinner’s outpost in the Sierra Foothills. Of course, he’s also shown a tremendous touch with Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the most celebrated sites in Sonoma and Anderson Valley.
