A beautiful blend of summer-ready grapes: 70% Valdiguié (Napa Gamay) along with 27% Pinot Noir and 3% Gamay Noir. The wine is salmon pink in the glass and a hit of summer on the palate. Think about fresh watermelon slices, damp rose petals, and wild strawberries. Yeah, that sounds just about perfect on a sunny day!
Gros Ventre winemaker, Chris Pittenger, has the kind of pedigree that should attract any kind of wine enthusiast to try, and ultimately fall in love with, his wines. Heading the winemaking at classic projects like Skinner Vineyards and Limerick Lane helped establish Chris in his place as a bit of a “whisperer” to grapes like Zinfandel and vineyards near Skinner’s outpost in the Sierra Foothills. Of course, he’s also shown a tremendous touch with Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the most celebrated sites in Sonoma and Anderson Valley.
