Winestyr Review

This blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir from California's El Dorado AVA is everything you want in a versatile, easy-drinking red. Big fruit flavors of cherry and raspberry lead the way, but this wine is balanced by it's brightness and sleek mouthfeel. Serve this wine slightly chilled at a picnic or cook out (or any outdoor party) and it will be a hit. Pair with lighter foods or drink on its own.

Gros Ventre Cellars

Gros Ventre winemaker, Chris Pittenger, has the kind of pedigree that should attract any kind of wine enthusiast to try, and ultimately fall in love with, his wines. Heading the winemaking at classic projects like Skinner Vineyards and Limerick Lane helped establish Chris in his place as a bit of a “whisperer” to grapes like Zinfandel and vineyards near Skinner’s outpost in the Sierra Foothills. Of course, he’s also shown a tremendous touch with Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the most celebrated sites in Sonoma and Anderson Valley.

Wonderful, crisp summer wine!

I don't drink a lot of Gamay, but I enjoyed this blend. Strong notes of leather, oak, and earthy tones on the nose. Cherry and strawberry, lots of fruit. Light with a little bit of acidity.
