This refreshing and incredibly unique wine from Gros Ventre is the quintessential white to have on-hand for virtually any occasion. Dry and complex, this wine combines Mediterranean grapes with Italian and French backgrounds to craft an approachable, mineral, and refreshing blend. Lighter bodied and lower in alcohol than many California white wines, this wine won't leave you feeling too guilty about having a glass or two on a weeknight.
Gros Ventre winemaker, Chris Pittenger, has the kind of pedigree that should attract any kind of wine enthusiast to try, and ultimately fall in love with, his wines. Heading the winemaking at classic projects like Skinner Vineyards and Limerick Lane helped establish Chris in his place as a bit of a “whisperer” to grapes like Zinfandel and vineyards near Skinner’s outpost in the Sierra Foothills. Of course, he’s also shown a tremendous touch with Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the most celebrated sites in Sonoma and Anderson Valley.
