We only work with a handful of Rosés each year and are admittedly somewhat snobby and discerning when it comes to this wine style. The 2017 Rosé of Cabernet Franc by Halcyon is an absolute stunner and we were lucky to procure a tiny allocation of this vintage. This wine is highlighted by bright acid and subtle notes of kirsch and rose petal, this wine is perfect for all of your Rosé needs. 150 cases produced.
After biding his time at California’s iconic Paso Robles winery, Tablas Creek, the Elwell’s took the domestic wine scene by storm, producing wines from one grape and one grape only: Cabernet Franc. It wasn’t just the wines of France’s Loire Valley that influenced their devotion to the grape but Tyler’s early discovery of what more moderate climates on the West Coast could accomplish with it. In addition to their very drinkable California appellation bottling, they also produce single-vineyard expressions and Blanc of Cabernet Franc that is simply irresistible.
