This is a very serious expression of Grenache Blanc from critically acclaimed winemaker Anthony Yount. Fuller bodied with great structure and balanced, the mouthfeel of this wine is very pleasing, especially in conjunction with the intense, laser-focused notes of white pear, honeysuckle, and a hint of brioche. It's no wonder that previous vintages of this wine have consistently and universally earn high scores, including a top 100 wine of 2013 from Jon Bonné. Fermented and aged for 5 months in concrete tank and neutral oak barrels. 440 cases produced.
St. Louis native Anthony Yount, proprietor and winemaker at Kinero Cellars, got his start in winemaking by way of an internship during his undergraduate studies at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. He became enamored with red and white Grenache and now serves as the winemaker for Denner Vineyards while also making small quantities of exceptional white wines under his own Kinero Cellars label. The wines are pure, fresh, and expressive and have earned him wide critical acclaim including landing on Jon Bonné's list of top 100 wines of the year.
