The 2021 Les Lunes Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards that Shaunt and Diego either farm themselves or, at the very least, consult on the farming. As usual, these natural wines showcase a beautiful blend of high-toned fruit with a balance of earthy funk to kick things up a notch. This is meant to be drunk in its youth, so get to sipping!
Diego and Shaunt have one of the most unique winery setups in the country, if not the world. Tucked into the hills above Orinda, which is just a few minutes outside of Oakland, this duo crafts their flagship natural wines in the raised basement of Shaunt’s family home. That’s right, they lifted the house to make sure the cellar (er...basement) had room for their barrel stacks. It’s a true bootstrap operation but one that has yielded incredible wines beloved by natural wine enthusiasts.
