Winestyr Review

The Medlock Ames 2019 Sauvignon Blanc bursts from the glass and places you squarely on a beach somewhere in the tropics. Guava, pineapple, and passionfruit are ripe on the attack and the palate is smoothed out by the wine's crisp minerality and long, mouth watering finish. Even without the use of oak, the wine achieves a sense of calm and creaminess that makes it as easy to drink alone as it is with shellfish, spring vegetables, and goat cheese.

Medlock Ames

Chris Medlock James and Ames Morison, college best friends who left the hustle of New York City for the rolling hills of eastern Sonoma County, knew what they wanted from the beginning. Driving around Chalk Hill Road, their vision was realized at Bell Mountain Ranch. Ames is the winemaking force here, reaching for hillside Cabernet Sauvignon (and other Bordeaux varieties) that exude power without excess. These are delicious wines that can be enjoyed young or with a few years of bottle age on them!

Great summer Sauvignon Blanc. Nice citrus flavors but not too acidic. Instead it is an easy wine to drink.
