750 ML / 15.1% ABV
This is a tiny production, single-vineyard wine made of 100% Mourvèdre from the esteemed Glenrose Vineyard in Paso Robles' Adelaida District AVA. Almost black in color, this wine is deep, dark, and rich with lush black fruit flavors, cocoa, cracked black pepper, leather, and spice. Somewhat surprisingly, this bold wine never hits any overripe flavors and that's a testament to the deft winemaking hand of Ryan Pease. This is a great wine to open with other wine enthusiasts as it represents some of the cutting edge winemaking going on in Southern California. 94pts and Editor's Choice from Wine Enthusiast.
Paix Sur Terre, French for "Peace on Earth," has quickly become one of Paso Robles’ most sought after and critically acclaimed wineries. They focus on balanced, mineral-driven wines made in small lots with fruit from some of the region’s best vineyards. Attention first went to their single vineyard Mourvedre wines but Ryan has shown that Paso can indeed produce world class white wines from grapes like Picpoul and Clairette Blanche.
