This Clairette Blanche is sourced from Paper Street Vineyard, a new site right next to Glenrose Vineyard where Paix Sur Terre gets much of their best fruit. A rare grape to find here in the U.S., Clairette Blanche calls France's Southern Rhône Valley home and can be found in the region's most famous wine. Characterized by slightly lower acidity and a more full mouth feel, this is a wine we don't get much of and are lucky to offer.
Paix Sur Terre, French for "Peace on Earth," has quickly become one of Paso Robles’ most sought after and critically acclaimed wineries. They focus on balanced, mineral-driven wines made in small lots with fruit from some of the region’s best vineyards. Attention first went to their single vineyard Mourvedre wines but Ryan has shown that Paso can indeed produce world class white wines from grapes like Picpoul and Clairette Blanche.
