Winestyr Review

Single vineyard Pinot Noir? Amazing. Single vineyard rosé? Someone must have hit their head...but we're glad because pink wine this delicious is hard to come by. Throw a few in an ice bucket, twist open, and make sure you stay hydrated.

What We Love

  • Single vineyard
  • Rosé of Pinot Noir
  • Acclaimed winemaking

The problem won't be finding an occasion for the wine, but keeping enough on hand!

Experience

Located on an isolated hilltop just four miles inland from the Pacific Ocean at the far reaches of the northern Sonoma Coast, Peay's estate vineyard is a 51-acre masterpiece. Planted in 1998 to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Viognier, Roussane, and Marsanne, the estate is farmed organically and celebrates the extreme nature of their ambition in making wine on the site. The winery is very much a family affair, with Nick Peay and his wife Vanessa Wong running the vineyards and winemaking, respectively, and Andy Peay directing sales and growth the business.

Where are the ratings?

Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself. Need some specific recommendations? Chat us in the lower right box or send our lead curator an email at bob@winestyr.com.
