Sourced from the Vivio Vineyard and barrel fermented in 22% new oak, there is a distinct richness to this Southern Rhône-inspired wine that is utterly impressive. Still, thanks to the cooling influence of the appellation, the finish is mineral driven and persistent...not to mention completely delicious.
Husband and wife duo Scott MacFiggen and Regina Bustamante founded Sosie (French for twin or spitting image) on the idea that their love and passion for the great wines of France could inspire similarly fashioned wines here in their home, Northern California. While the winery does produce Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, it is immediately obvious that its strength lies in grape varieties that call France's Rhône Valley home, notably Syrah and Roussanne. We’re excited to be in on the ground floor and offer these wines to you.
