Tobias Vineyards is a true family winery, run by husband and wife team Toby Forman and Dawn Pauli-Forman, perched high above the fog line on Napa's Howell Mountain. With much of their lives spent apprenticing for their winemaking fathers, Ric Forman and Bill Pauli, Toby and Dawn set out to honor their families' heritages while crafting their own legacy. Toby and Dawn hosted Winestyr at their tasting room in the summer of 2019 and even with our first taste of wine, it was a no-brainer to work together. Three generations of industry knowledge, intense commitment to farming, and an eye towards accessible yet esteemed wines are the hallmarks of this estate.
Nestled near the peak of Howell Mountain, perched high above the fog line of the Napa Valley, the Forman family farms a distinctive volcanic 43-acre estate, with 20 unique blocks, to craft exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, just as generations have before them. The Pauli family’s vineyards in Mendocino County are treated with equal care and planted to Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. With the knowledge of farming, viticulture, & winemaking, handed down from over three generations and two iconic families, their commitment and passion is unparalleled.
