Coming from Dawn Pauli-Forman's family vines in Potter Valley, this is an approachable expression who like their Chardonnays to have a bit more weight and texture. The wine spends 18 months in new and used French oak before bottling.
Tobias Vineyards is a true family winery, run by husband and wife team Toby Forman and Dawn Pauli-Forman, perched high above the fog line on Napa's Howell Mountain. With much of their lives spent apprenticing for their winemaking fathers, Ric Forman and Bill Pauli, Toby and Dawn set out to honor their families' heritages while crafting their own legacy. Toby and Dawn hosted Winestyr at their tasting room in the summer of 2019 and even with our first taste of wine, it was a no-brainer to work together. Three generations of industry knowledge, intense commitment to farming, and an eye towards accessible yet esteemed wines are the hallmarks of this estate.
