From the beginning, Justin sought to communicate the truest-self of each vineyard he sourced from, producing wines that are first and foremost elegant and balanced before any thought of weight or density. In fact, he once told me that the greatest achievement a winemaker can accomplish is to, "craft a wine of power in the absence of weight." It's clear in these wines that he accomplishes that more and more.
To produce some of the most celebrated wines in all of the Central Coast, Justin sources from the most celebrated vineyards. His bottlings from Sanford and Benedict, La Rinconada, and La Encantada take a back seat to no one in the region. Pushing his winery forward, he and his wife purchased and planted a 28-acre site that will become the winery's defining estate vineyard, Mae Vineyard. We couldn't be more excited to see what's next for this category defining producer.
